Don’t be fooled by the name or the outside appearance of this restaurant. Once you step inside, you’ll be pleasantly surprised and realize this place is much more than pizza. The traditional Italian casual restaurant is very stylishly decorated, with brick walls, tiled floors, and classic Italian murals. Even more impressive than the wood oven are the wine cellar and large cheeses. They have a small rooftop and patio, but I recommend the cozy nooks downstairs. Their pasta carbonara on a XXL Grana Padano cheese wheel is worth all the calories.

While there are now various branches throughout the city, Kemang was the first Koi Restaurant. Yummmmy pizza’s and pastas based on authentic family recipes from the Italian owner. While some dishes can be a little salty for my personal taste, all the right flavors are there. The classic desserts are also delightful. Rather than ordering food to go, we encourage you to sit on the large outdoor terrace to enjoy a casual evening out. Your Italian food just tastes a little better while sitting in front of scenic murals. PS. A little bird whispered that soon they will open a renovated rooftop with signature cocktails. Stay tuned!

This Japanese restaurant is a unique little gem in Jakarta. The feeling of a hidden speakeasy, intimate and personal. Chef Abe will prepare a 10-course set menu right in front of you (Omakase-style). We cannot give enough praise for the food and service. It surpassed all our expectations (which were quite high after it was recommended by a foodie friend). After your dinner, you can ask Jenny to guide you to the hidden cocktail bar.

In a unique historic building with warm ambiance, you can enjoy traditional Indonesian food with a contemporary creative twist. All dishes are masterfully prepared, full of color and flavor. Farm-to-table restaurant and upstairs cocktail lounge, with a focus on design, music and hospitality. Pantja works with local smallholder farmers and sources fresh ingredients daily. The upper floor lounge has unique brick arched ceilings and copper accents, giving you the feeling of a wine cellar. The large cocktail bar invites for a drink, and the open fire cooking is very tasteful. Perfect for a lively night out, or weekend brunch. Be mindful that the upper lounge can get smoky, and the DJ turns the volume up later at night.
